employs 91 part and full time employees plus
25-30 volunteers per year.

YOM has been successful in helping children
and families by working closely with
federal, state, county, and Town of
Hempstead government agencies, Long
Island United Way, the corporate and
private sectors to provide quality
direct and support services to include
Nursery Day Care, Universal Pre-Kindergarten,
Before and After School Child Care,
Family Life/Youth Development, Individual,
family and group counseling, Leisure
Time activities, Chemical Dependency
Treatment and Prevention Services,
Senior Nutrition and Adult Day Care
Services to thousands of children and
families
living in Levittown and surrounding
communities to include East Meadow,
North Bellmore, Wantagh, Seaford, Plainedge,
Bethpage, Hicksville, & Westbury/New
Cassel, New York. The community center
provides an opportunity to employ 35-40
youth and young adults to work within
its 10-Week Summer Child Care Program,
as well as provide part time employment
during the school year to 8-10 high
school students. The organization serves
as a training site for CASAC counselors
from Molloy College and second year
graduate students from Adelphi University
School of Social Work and Nassau Community
College. The programs that are offered at the agency
provide the community residents with
crisis intervention, information, referral
services and other alternatives.
The community center continues to work
in partnership and collaboratively
with the Levittown and Island Trees
School Districts, law enforcement,
civic and religious organizations.
